Thereby created Alex Kyza the Latin Trap, musical genre that is going around Latin America

Alex Kyza is not only one of the greatest exponents of Latin Trap, also is the creator of this musical genre which since some years ago is moving the region. His recognition has allowed him to work with important artists like Ñengo Flow, Jowell y Randy, Guelo Star, Arcangel, Farruko y Daddy Yankee, among others. 

Was born and grew up in New Jersey, although in 2008 he moved to Puerto Rico, Place of origin of his parents. Here, Alex Javier Ferreira, forename of Alex Kayza, started to experiment with the sounds of reggaeton, by which he began to stand out quickly and which led him to participate in several mixtapes of the renowned Puerto Rican artist 'Mexican 777', and one of his albums. 


Time after, he met De La Ghetto and together they began to create new music, which was very well accepted by the Puerto Rican public. Thanks to the popularity that they won, Alex was also the producer of ‘Masacre Musical’, the first solo album by De La Ghetto, there were included songs as ‘Es difícil’ and ‘Tú te imaginas’, which reached positions 33 and 42 respectively, in Hot Latin Songs list by Billboard.

After the success of his work with Rafael Castillo (De La Ghetto), both decided to found the label ´Masacre Musical’, in which Alex Kyza began to sing mixing sounds of the rap of the South of the United Stat with reggaeton, thus creating a new genre which he called ‘Latin Trap’. His first proyect was the mixtape ‘Traficando Man Vol. 1’ followed by “Street King” and “Solo Trap”, which aroused the interest for this new music in singers like Nengo Flow, Arcangel, Sensato, Kendo Kaponi, Farruko, among others, who joined Alex Kyza to create new singles. Also, caught the attention of the young public, which was attracted by the lyrics of the songs. 


Alex has also worked alongside renowned producers like Young Hollywood, Dexter and Mr. Greenz, DJ Blass, and Duran “The Coach”. After make himself known as the creator of ‘Latin Trap’, his colleagues started calling him “El Rey del Trap”, also created the company ‘Champion Sound’, dedicated to this musical style.
